Treatment with exenatide significantly improved endothelium-dependent vasodilatation in DM rats. (a) Responses of thoracic aortas rings to increasing concentration of NE. There was no significant difference in NE elicited contraction among groups. (b) Responses of thoracic aortas rings to increasing concentration of ACh. DM induced a significant decrease in relaxation of ACh, and treatment with exenatide for 45 days significantly improved the relaxation of ACh.
