SEM microphotographs of vertical cross-sections (a–d) of the cylinder-shaped PLLA sponges prepared with 150–250 μm NaCl particulates at the polymer/NaCl ratio of 1 : 4 (a), 1 : 5 (b), 1 : 6 (c) and 1 : 9 (d) and the change of porosity (e) and Young’s modulus (f) with the polymer/NaCl ratio. The porosity data represent the average ± SD of three samples and the Young’s modulus data represent the mean ± SD of six samples.
