Circulating Endothelial-Derived Activated Microparticle: A Useful Biomarker for Predicting One-Year Mortality in Patients with Advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

Figure 2

Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) plot of circulating level of microparticles (MPs) predictive of one-year mortality. The ROC curve analysis showed that only circulating level of endothelial-derived activated- (EDAc-) MPs ≥ 1100.5 counts/mL (i.e., cutoff value) was the most powerful predictor of one-year mortality with a sensitivity of 77.6% and a specificity of 56.9%. Area under the curve = 0.715, . MP = microparticles; CEA = carcinoembryonic antigen.
