p53 Is a Key Regulator for Osthole-Triggered Cancer Pathogenesis

Osthole increases p53 protein activation in human colon cancer. HCT116 (a) and SW480 (b) were incubated with osthole (10 μM) for indicated time periods. p53, phosphorylated p53 (p-p53), and acetylated p53 (acetyl-p53) expressions were examined by western blot analysis. (c) SW480 cells were stimulated by osthole for 6 h, and p53 and p21 expressions were examined by RT-PCR analysis. Results are the representative of three independent experiments.
