CNB-001 a Novel Curcumin Derivative, Guards Dopamine Neurons in MPTP Model of Parkinson’s Disease

Figure 6

Immunoblotting of tyrosine hydroxylase (TH), dopamine transporter (DAT), and vesicular monoamine transporter 2 (VMAT2) in substantia nigra (SN) and striatum (ST) of experimental animals. Injection of MPTP significantly reduced TH, DAT, and VMAT2 expressions in SN and ST. Pretreatment with CNB-001 significantly increased TH, DAT, and VMAT2 expressions ((a) and (c)). Protein expressions were quantified using β-actin as an internal standard and values are expressed as arbitrary units and given as mean ± SD ((b) and (d)). compared to control, compared to MPTP.
