Effect of the oral administration of the ethanolic (TFEE, 0–500 mg/kg) and hydroalcoholic (TFHAE, 250 mg/kg) extracts of the bark of Terminalia fagifolia and of the aqueous (TFAqF), hydroalcoholic (TFHAF), and hexanic (TFHEXF) partition fractions of TFEE or carbenoxolone (250 mg/kg) on gastric ulcers induced by absolute ethanol. Ulceration index as percentage of the area of the corpus of the stomach (data are presented as the mean ± S.E.M). compared to the control group (ANOVA and Dunnett’s test).
