Comparison of Long Noncoding RNA and mRNA Expression Profiles in Mesenchymal Stem Cells Derived from Human Periodontal Ligament and Bone Marrow

Real-time RT-PCR results show differential mRNA expression levels in stem cells derived from bone marrow (BMSCs) or periodontal ligament tissue (PDLSCs). The mRNAs BARX1, IGFBP5, S100A4, and WNT2B showed increased expression, and the mRNAs HOXA9 and HOXC8 showed decreased expression in PDLSCs compared to BMSCs. GAPDH was used as an internal control. Student’s t-test was performed to determine statistical significance; all error bars represent s.d. (𝑛=3 tissue samples); ^∗∗𝑃<0.01.
