A Modified Fluorimetric Method for Determination of Hydrogen Peroxide Using Homovanillic Acid Oxidation Principle

Calibration curves of H2O2 in the assay system. H2O2 concentration was used in the range of 1 to 1000 μM (a) and 1–15 μM (b) with 1 h incubation of the reaction mixture. Time kinetics (0–2 h) for completion of reaction for two concentrations of H2O2 (100–200 μM) without (c) and with (d) TCA treatment of H2O2 followed by neutralization prior to use. Dose curve for H2O2 (1–16 μM) in both TCA treated and nontreated condition with 2 h incubation of the reaction mixture (e). In all cases 125 μM HVA and 0.1U/mL HRP were used in 2 mL reaction mixture at 25°C.
