Effect of M. subsericea on hemorrhage induced by L. muta venom. L. muta venom (1.56 µg/g) was incubated for 30 minutes with M. subsericea extracts (15.6 μg/g); then mixture was injected into mice and hemorrhage evaluated, as described in the Methods. L. muta was incubated with saline (C1) or DMSO (C2); with ethanolic extracts of stem (1) or leaves (2); with hexane- (3) or ethyl acetate- (4) soluble fraction of stem; with hexane- (5) or ethyl acetate- (6) soluble fraction of leaves.
