Preparation of Naringenin/β-Cyclodextrin Complex and Its More Potent Alleviative Effect on Choroidal Neovascularization in Rats

Naringenin/β-CD complex significantly inhibits the mRNA expression of key mediators involved in the pathogenesis of CNV in rats. (a)–(f) are real-time PCR analyses of transcript levels of VEGF, COX-2, PI3K, p38MAPK, MMP-2, and MMP-9. GAPDH was used as the invariant control for calculating fold changes in mRNA levels. Group 1: normal rats; group 2: CNV rats without treatment; group 3: CNV rats with naringenin treatment; group 4: CNV rats with naringenin/β-CD complex treatment.
