Rosiglitazone Regulates Anti-Inflammation and Growth Inhibition via PTEN

Effects of rosiglitazone on LPS-induced NO release and PGE2 production (a) and the expressions of iNOS and COX-2 (b) in RAW 264.7 cells. Cells were treated with 1, 5, or 25  M rosiglitazone for 30 min before being stimulated with 5  g/mL LPS for indicated times. Cell supernatants were collected for determining NO release and PGE2 production. Cell lysates were harvested for detecting the levels of iNOS, COX-2 and -actin by Western blot. Data shown are representative of three individual experiments. Data are expressed as mean SEM obtained from three individual cell cultures. < 0.05 and < 0.001 compared with the control, untreated group. < 0.05, < 0.01, and < 0.001 compared with the LPS group.
