Knockout of CHOP decreases FGF21 expression. WT and CHOP−/− mouse primary hepatocytes were treated for 24 h with increasing concentration of TG. Total cellular RNA was isolated and the mRNA levels of CHOP and FGF21 were measured by real-time RT-PCR. Values are mean ± S.E. of three independent experiments. Statistical significance relative to WT vehicle control: ^∗𝑃<0.05; ^∗∗∗𝑃<0.001; statistical significance relative of the same TG concentration between WT group and CHOP−/− group: ^##𝑃<0.01.
