ADAC dose-response study: the effect on noise-induced ABR threshold shifts (defined as the difference between ABR thresholds before and after noise exposure at a single frequency). Threshold shifts averaged across all frequencies (8–28 kHz) are also shown. ADAC (25–300 μg/kg i.p.) was administered for five consecutive days at 24 h intervals, commencing six hours after noise exposure. In the control group (ADAC dose “0”), injections of the vehicle solution were administered at the same intervals as ADAC. Data are expressed as mean ± SEM (–10). ; versus control, one-way ANOVA with pairwise comparison.
