-Shogaol Inhibits α-MSH-Induced Melanogenesis through the Acceleration of ERK and PI3K/Akt-Mediated MITF Degradation

Effects of -shogaol on the phosphorylation of ERK and Akt and on the MITF in B16F10 in the presence or absence of U0126 (a) or LY294002 (b). The α-MSH incubated B16F10 cells pretreated with U0126 were stimulated with -shogaol for 72 h. The expression levels of the MITF, pERK, ERK, pAkt, and Akt were analysed by western blot using specific antibodies. The data represent at least three independent experiments. Relative density ratios of MITF over β-actin were shown as the mean values compared with α-MSH-treated cells.
