Gradually Increased Training Intensity Benefits Rehabilitation Outcome after Stroke by BDNF Upregulation and Stress Suppression

GIG rats exhibited significantly higher BDNF levels in the hippocampus and striatum than the other groups. Significantly different cortical BDNF levels were only observed between the GIG and the CG. BDNF levels in LG and HG rats were not apparently different in all of the brain tissues; both were significantly higher than CG in the hippocampus and striatum.</table>
