New SPECT and PET Radiopharmaceuticals for Imaging Cardiovascular Disease
Table 2
Examples of Novel Technetium-99m SPECT Radiotracers for Myocardial Perfusion Imaging.
[99mTcN(PNP5)(DBODC)]+ (i) heart/liver ratio at 30 min PI was (2-times higher than 99mTc-sestamibi) (ii) heart/liver ratio at 120 min PI was (~8-times higher than 99mTc-sestamibi)
[99mTcN(PNP5)(MPO)]+ = {99mTcN-MPO} (i) high heart uptake ( %ID/g at 5 min PI) (ii) long myocardial retention ( %ID/g at 120 min PI) (iii) 4-times faster liver clearance than 99mTc-sestamibi and excellent heart/liver ratios ( g at 30 min PI)
[99mTc(PNP)(CO)3] (i) overall similar to 99mTc-tetrofosmin and 99mTc-sestamibi with higher first pass extraction (2.5-times that of 99mTc-sestamibi), (ii) longer retention in cardiac myocytes, rapid hepatic and pulmonary clearance
[99mTc(CO)3-TMEOP]+ (i) high heart uptake ( %ID/g at 40 min PI) (ii) faster liver clearance than 99mTc-sestamibi and 99mTc-tetrofosmin (iii) stable complex after 24-hours in 0.1 M PBS (pH = 7.4, 37°C)
