During the period 1983–2005 NA exhibited a plateau that terminated with punctuation B-C (advent of swine flu), which occurred in Brazil (AAY42117) in 2001, in New York in 2003, in Berlin in 2005, and in Texas in 2007. The advent of swine flu also caused the HA1 block below 130 to increase hydrophobically almost identically in New York in 2003 and in Berlin in 2005, as shown here.
