Vitamin K1 Exerts Antiproliferative Effects and Induces Apoptosis in Three Differently Graded Human Colon Cancer Cell Lines

Western blot analysis of Bax and Bcl-2 in Caco-2 cells after 48 h of vitamin K1 (VK1) treatment. The cells were exposed to increasing concentrations of VK1 (10 μM, 50 μM, 100 μM, and 200 μM). Immunoreactive bands were quantified using Quantity One program. The diagrams show quantification of the intensity of bands, calibrated to the intensity of β-actin bands. All data represent the result of three different experiments (mean ± SEM). Data were analyzed by Kruskal-Wallis analysis of variance and Dunn’s multiple comparison test. ^* compared to control cells.
