Identification and Biological Characterization of Leishmania (Viannia) guyanensis Isolated from a Patient with Tegumentary Leishmaniasis in Goiás, a Nonendemic Area for This Species in Brazil

In vitro growth curves of Leishmania (V.) braziliensis (HPV6, UAF5, and WSS5) and Leishmania (V.) guyanensis (PLR6) in complete Grace’s medium. Parasites were seeded in 5 × 106/mL and cultured during 13 days, at 26°C in BOD. The data represent mean ± SEM of two-to-three independent experiments performed in triplicate.
