Schematic of the reporter gene construct with a 296 bp 3′-UTR of IκBα (+1 nt to 296 nt downstream to the translation stop site TGA) including rs696G>A polymorphism and a putative target site of miR-449a and miR-34b highly conserved in the IκBα mRNA 3′-UTR. (b). Luciferase expression of the two constructs in CNE-1 and CNE-2 cells. The renilla luciferase activity of each construct was normalized against the internal control of firefly luciferase.
