Illustration of the Decoy-SELEX process. In vitro selection begins with incubation of target Exotoxin A with a library of 1015 ssDNA molecules. Binding molecules are amplified and subjected to incubation with multiple negative targets. Molecules that do not bind to negative targets are amplified and carried on to the next round of selection.
