Effect of 5-HT2BR blockade on isolated murine cardiac fibroblasts. TGF-beta 1 induced production of collagen depends on the 5HT2BR. Cardiac fibroblasts were serum-starved and treated with Terguride or SB204741 at the concentrations indicated prior to TGF-beta 1 stimulations. Both 5-HT2BR antagonists significantly diminished the production of total secreted collagen of mouse RV cardiac fibroblasts to the medium.
