Cytotoxic effect of MRE of S. birrea on HepG2 cells. Cells were treated with methanolic extract at the concentration of 10, 50, 100, and 200 μg/mL for 24 h, in the presence or absence of 10 mM NAC, and for 48 h. MRE inhibited the growth of HepG2 cells in a dose- and time-dependent manner. Values are means ± SD of three replicates from three independent experiments.
