IL-1Ra inhibits IL-1β, IL-6, and IL-8 mRNA expression in BRAT cells. Cells stably expressing BRAT were plated at equal densities, treated with recombinant IL-1Ra, and collected. RNA was isolated, DNAse-treated, and reverse-transcribed. Real-time PCR was performed in triplicate from two separate experiments for IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8, and actin using SYBR Green detection. Data are expressed as the mean fold change in gene expression ± standard error.
