Total movement duration is calculated as the time between movement onset and movement offset. Movement onset is the velocity minima associated with oral opening for the first vowel in the word (i.e., ɛ) and movement offset is the velocity minima associated with oral opening for the final vowel in the word (i.e., ɪ) (points A to B).
