Protection against Amoebic Liver Abscess in Hamster by Intramuscular Immunization with an Autographa californica Baculovirus Driving the Expression of the Gal-Lectin LC3 Fragment

Figure 4

IFNγ and IL-4 local productions in liver parenchyma of hamsters intramuscularly immunized with AcNPV-WT, AcNPV-LC3 and challenged. Cytokines in soluble livers extracts from hamsters of AcMPV-WT and AcMPV-LC3 groups were evaluated by ELISA. Concentrations in extracts from immunized and nonprotected hamsters (white bars), partially protected hamsters (grey bars), and hamsters with sterile protection (black bars) are shown. The results show a direct relationship between IL4 (a) and IFNγ (b) expression and protection degree (, ).
