MIC as an Appropriate Method to Construct the Brain Functional Network

We used degree centrality (DC) to measure node importance and calculated VC of 90 nodes’ degree as to 13 samples. Thus, a 1 × 90 vector was obtained for each method. Box plots of these vectors were constructed to determine which method had a smaller average value. When the average VC was smaller, the method was considered to perform better in terms of robustness. The box plot shows the robustness rankings of PCF, MIC, CF, MI, WCF, and CH. Comparisons regarding this aspect indicated that MIC had a good performance. For statistical tests, see Table 8.
