Patients were referred for investigation of gastrointestinal symptoms (e.g., diarrhea, fecal blood, or abdominal pain) or for screening for colorectal adenomas with the following findings: diverticulosis ( = 4), polyps ( = 5), low-grade dysplasia adenomas ( = 2), colorectal cancer ( = 2), hemorrhoids ( = 3), radiation proctitis ( = 1), or without pathological findings ( = 19). There were two instances of simultaneous diverticulosis and polyps and one instance of simultaneous diverticulosis and hemorrhoids.
Median (range) values are given.
