Predicting the Functions of Long Noncoding RNAs Using RNA-Seq Based on Bayesian Network

The workflow of functional prediction of lncRNAs. We identified lncRNAs and protein-coding genes from RNA-seq data of 58 prostate cancer samples and created transcript profiles of lncRNAs and protein-coding genes for construction of the regulatory network between lncRNAs and protein-coding genes based on the Bayesian network method. To predict functions of individual lncRNA in the regulatory network, we mapped its linked protein-coding genes onto human PPI network and mined highly connected modules, which was subsequently used to predict functions by functional enrichment ( value < 0.05).
