Combination of Mitochondrial and Plasma Membrane Citrate Transporter Inhibitors Inhibits De Novo Lipogenesis Pathway and Triggers Apoptosis in Hepatocellular Carcinoma Cells

<div>Effect of citrate transporter inhibitors on the viability of HCC cells. Cells were treated with different concentrations of citrate transporter inhibitors for 24 h, (a)–(c) HepG2 cells and (d)–(f) HuH-7 cells. MTT assay was performed and expressed an inhibition as a percentage of cell viability compared with 100% of the vehicle control.
