Aggregates of metallic wear particles (white arrow) were seen around the necrotic connective tissue (#); capillaries can be found in the obvious inflammatory tissues. Meanwhile, the original synovial membrane (like PBS group, yellow arrow) has been changed. There are some abnormalities of the bone structure between cortical bone and synovial tissue (gray arrow).
