Cas1 impairs the repair of DNA damage. (a) Recombinant strains mc² 155_Cas1 and mc² 155_Vec were serially diluted and plated onto MB 7H10 plates with 20μg/ml Cisplatin or 0.5μg/ml Mitomycin C. Plates were incubated at 37°C for 5 days for observation. (b) Recombinant strains mc² 155_Cas1 and mc² 155_Vec were exposed to various concentration of Cisplatin or Mitomycin C for 2 hours to induce DNA damage and the survival rates were calculated.
