Minimally Invasive Spinal Surgery

Description

Minimally invasive spinal surgery (MISS) uses advanced technology and innovative techniques to treat various kinds of pain from the spine. MISS has been currently the most common surgical technique used to treat patients with various kinds of spinal problems. Many kinds of reports have been published about the surgical results of MISS from percutaneous endoscopic procedures to minimally invasive fusions.

We invite investigators to contribute original research articles as well as review articles that will stimulate the continuing efforts to MISS, the development of surgical strategies to improve the outcomes of MISS, and the evaluation of the limitation and drawbacks. We are particularly interested in articles in evidence-based MISS and evaluating outcomes from treatment trials; advances in surgical techniques; current concepts in the treatment of spinal pathologies using image-guided technique.

Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Percutaneous endoscopic lumbar discectomy
  • Percutaneous endoscopic cervical discectomy
  • Minimally invasive decompressive surgery
  • Minimally invasive lumbar interbody fusion (posterior, anterior, lateral, and oblique)
  • Limitations and complications of MISS
  • Image-guided/robotic spinal surgery
