Applications of Self-Assembling Peptide Scaffolds in Tissue Regeneration

Call for Papers

Self-assembling peptide scaffold is a kind of novel tissue engineering material, which has advantages of good biocompatibility and controllable mechanical properties. It can also provide different bioactivities by comprising core sequence of some bioactive macromolecules as a scaffold material. For these reasons, self-assembling peptide scaffold has potential application prospects. Knowledge and information aimed at application of this special material in medical fields will contribute to the development of tissue regeneration.

We invite investigators to contribute to original research articles as well as review articles that attempt to apply self-assembling peptide scaffold for tissue regeneration. We are interested in articles that describe the properties of all kinds of self-assembling peptide scaffolds in vitro and also in animal models. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Recent developments in application of self-assembling peptide scaffolds in tissue regeneration
  • Properties of a newly designed self-assembling peptide scaffold
  • Cell culturing in self-assembling peptide scaffold
  • New bioactivity provided by self-assembling peptide scaffold
  • Tissue regeneration through self-assembling peptide scaffold in musculoskeletal system
  • Tissue regeneration through self-assembling peptide scaffold in cardiovascular system
  • Tissue regeneration through self-assembling peptide scaffold in nervous system
