The Regulation of Innate Immunity by Nutritional Factors

Description

The recent years have witnessed growing interest in the biochemistry, physiology, and nutrition of nutrients for mammals, such as amino acids, fatty acids, polyphenols, and oligosaccharide. Notably, increasing results suggest that dietary nutrients also have critical importance on immune function, leading to affecting the pathogenesis of infection or immune related diseases, such as autoimmune diseases, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and cancer. These studies provide the way to manipulate immune associated diseases with nutritional aspect.

We invite investigators to contribute original research papers and review papers that provide us with a better understanding for the nutrition and immunity from molecular, cellular, or in vivo level.

Potential topics include but are not limited to the following:

  • Nutrients (amino acids, fatty acids, polyphenols, oligosaccharide, etc.) and innate immunity (macrophage, NK, Paneth cells, etc.)
  • Nutrients (amino acids, fatty acids, polyphenols, oligosaccharide, etc.) and immune related diseases, including anti-infection, antiaging, anti-inflammation, and anticancer
