Human Body Fluid

Description

Human body fluids (plasma/serum, urine, cerebrospinal fluid, saliva, etc.) are considered as attractive sources for clinical markers. Body fluid testing can be useful for disease diagnosis and prognosis. Besides, altered protein expression profiles in body fluids reflect the change of cellular networks on the diseased tissue/organ. Thus, human body fluids' analysis will shed light on biomarkers for early detection, monitoring, and mechanism of disease progression and drug efficacy.

We particularly take an interest in manuscripts that report relevance of human body fluid measurements for biology, medicine, or monitoring disease progression. Studies that focus on the development of advanced methods, sample preparation (enrichment, cleaning, and instrument method), sample collection process for human body fluid analysis are welcomed. Moreover, papers dealing with criteria for selecting potential biomarkers would be of great interest (statistic, bioinformatics, etc.). Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Biology

  • Sample preparation of human body fluid
