Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery

Call for Papers

This special issue will consider papers in the general area of otolaryngology, head and neck surgery. The objective of this issue is to showcase the diversity and advances in research that contributes to the different subspecialties of otolaryngology, head and neck surgery. The researches of the field of otolaryngology, head and neck surgery, are committed to improve excellent medical care in all subspecialties to the patient groups worldwide. They are also committed to educate the health provider and investigators in the basics and the clinical practices of otolaryngology, head and neck surgery, for the further progress in each subspecialty. Recent advances both in basic and clinical studies have introduced new concepts and technologies to be applied in otolaryngology, head and neck surgery. The current knowledge and understanding have led to the exploration of new molecular and cellular biology underlying the disease mechanisms and also development of novel therapies, surgical techniques, and tools to substantially improve the clinical outcomes of patients.

All authors and investigators are invited to contribute with original research papers as well as review papers that are beneficial to understand the basic and clinical sciences of otolaryngology, head and neck surgery, such as the basic researches of the molecular and cellular alteration underlying specific diseases, development of strategies and therapies to treat specific disease modality, and prediction and analysis of the outcomes of treatment. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Recent advances in the basic research and knowledge of diseases in otolaryngology, head and neck surgery
  • Recent developments of the treatment modalities and surgical techniques in otolaryngology, head and neck surgery
  • Latest methodology for prediction, clinical evaluation, and measuring outcomes of the diseases of otolaryngology, head and neck surgery
