Immunointerventions in Vasculitis
Call for Papers
Vasculitis is a challenge for all practitioners and specialists, even the most experienced ones. Classification criteria continue to be improved, both in children and in adults; etiology and pathogenesis are still not known in the majority of cases; treatments can differ for the different vasculitides but usually rely on corticosteroids and immunosuppressives. Biologic therapies are increasingly used, but their real role still has to be determined.
Original research and review articles are welcome for this special issue that are related to novel findings in adult and pediatric vasculitides. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Animal models of vasculitis
- Genetics of rare and common vasculitides
- Pathogenetic bases of immunointerventions
- Evidence-based recommendations for common and rare vasculitides: Henoch-Schonlein purpura, resistant Kawasaki disease, etc.
- Biologics for treatment of vasculitides
