Immunohistochemical staining for ABCB4 in FFPE liver sections of FNH, chronic hepatitis C, NASH, Alagille syndrome (NC3), PFIC (NC1), TPN-related liver disease (NC2), PCLD, and PSC. ABCB4 stained in brown; nuclei stained with hematoxylin in blue. In PSC, high expression and accumulation of ABCB4 at the bile canalicular membrane of adjacent hepatocytes were mostly consistent within the group of cholestatic liver diseases. Scale bar = 20 μm.
