Connectivity maps of the bundles of the superficial bundles of the MCL (sMCL) (a), the lateral collateral ligament (LCL) (b) [23, 24], and the deep bundles of the MCL and the posteromedial capsule (PMC) (c) [25]. The tibial and femoral coordinate system was identified for each attachment. Locations of the attachments of the ligament bundles were defined with respect to these coordinate systems and on their corresponding plane.
