(a) With initial parameters MSE was 17.73% and after optimization it was 0.96%. Five model parameters were optimized using a multidimensional minimization routine (the Nelder-Mead simplex method). One local minimum is indicated with a grey circle. (b) Normalized parameter values after each iteration with respect to the initial values. Less than 0.5% change between iterations in any of the optimized parameters was observed at the end of optimization, after the solution had converged.
