The measurement of peak -score in each of the activations in the simulated data is shown in this plot. For each of the 24 activated regions, the -axis represents the maximum -score in the interpolated 128 × 128 map. The -axis represents the maximum -score in each of the four 64 × 64 maps. The highest of the four -scores in each region is the same as the maximum -score in that region in the interpolated map. This plot shows that the VSI can increase the -score by up to 50% in single-voxel activations with a signal change of 1% (solid diamonds). The increase of -score with VSI is substantial for single-voxel activations with a signal of up to 5% and 9-voxel activations with a signal change of 1%.
