Intelligent Fuzzy-Edge Computation for Medical Informatics

This issue is now closed for submissions.

Description

Recent technological developments in biomedical engineering have proven useful in healthcare monitoring. Medical informatics is a multidisciplinary area that incorporates principles from computer science, electrical engineering, and physics to better understand how to process medical information. The Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) is the next-generation Internet of Things (IoT) solution for smart health and other medical sector applications. For human-to-machine and machine-to-human solutions that can be utilized for remote monitoring and diagnosis in accordance with medical recommendations, smart fuzzy edge and edge computing models are required. Medical informatics and intelligent computing combine the strengths of artificial intelligence (AI) and human intelligence. Intelligent computing can provide excellent solutions for the healthcare industry by developing human-intelligent systems. This Special Issue will cover medical informatics in accordance with intelligent and fuzzy edge computation, focusing on intelligent computing, which embeds data technology to process and to analyse large amounts of data to assist human-intelligent systems. Due to the diverse nature of medical informatics, intelligent and fuzzy edge computation needs continuous improvement to achieve the best clinical outcome.

Today’s challenge is to develop an efficient framework for medical diagnosis, grading, and prognosis. This Special Issue will cover the integration of potential fuzzy edge computation and intelligent intelligence in medical informatics, making use of emerging intelligent computing approaches.

The aim of this Special Issue is to explore research in enabling technologies like medical informatics, fuzzy-edge computation, intelligent computing, and other technological pillars of medical physiology. This Special Issue will provide a platform for researchers to report on the recent intelligent developments and advanced infrastructures for facilitating smart medical systems. Original research and review articles are welcomed.
