Aortic Balloon Valvuloplasty Prior to Orthotopic Liver Transplantation: A Novel Approach to Aortic Stenosis and End-Stage Liver Disease

<div>Transthoracic echocardiography before and after valvuloplasty shows a calcified, stenotic aortic valve with AVA of 0.8 cm<sup>2</sup> by planimetry and continuity equation (VTI). Postvalvuloplasty there is demonstrated improvement in aortic valve gradients as well as AVA.</div>
