Optical Coherence Tomography Analysis of Attenuated Plaques Detected by Intravascular Ultrasound in Patients with Acute Coronary Syndromes

OCT revealed that IVUS-detected attenuated plaques include (a) lipidic plaque with fibrous cap of 380 μm thick and lipid arc of 130 degree, (b) thin-cap fibroatheroma with fibrous cap of 60 μm thick and lipid arc of 160 degree, (c) plaque rupture (*), and (d) mural thrombi (arrows).
