Complex Discrete Nonlinear Dynamics: Chaos and Its Applications
Call for Papers
Nonlinear and chaotic behavior appears widely and naturally in many discrete dynamical systems; its study has led to a vast multidisciplinary research field—ranging from the natural sciences (mechanics, chemistry, biology, ecology, etc.) to the social sciences (economics, sociology, etc.) and engineering (electronics, control, communication, security, etc.). Recent advances in dynamical systems theory and computational methodologies have provided new ways of understanding such complex phenomena via novel tools and applications of discrete nonlinear dynamics.
We invite investigators to contribute original research articles as well as review articles of multidisciplinary interest that will stimulate the continuing efforts to understand discrete nonlinear dynamical behavior. We are particularly interested in articles presenting theoretical and numerical studies on chaotic dynamics in discrete systems, as well as interdisciplinary research on novel chaos control method, engineering nonlinearity, and new applications of chaos. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Theoretical study on chaos
- Novel computation algorithms for chaotic dynamical systems and their complex geometrical structures
- Bifurcation and chaos in practical models, for example, discrete maps, complex networks, and others
- Reliable computation and computer-assisted proofs for nonlinear dynamics and chaos
- Nonlinear dynamics control and chaos synchronization
- Applications of discrete nonlinear dynamics and chaos in science and engineering
