NGAL levels at rest and after trek with ascent. NGAL (ng/mL, mean sd, range) at rest at Kat was (60–102) and rose significantly with altitude. The resting values for NGAL at 3400 m, 4270 m, and 5150 m were (60–285); (60–134), and (67–207), respectively. Posttrek NGAL was (65–519); (60–315), and (60–357) at 3400 m, 4270 m, and 5150 m, respectively. Differences in NGAL after trek and at rest (compared to baseline) were all significant as was the repeated measures ANOVA for change in NGAL ( ).
