Western blot analysis of plasma haptoglobin and apolipoprotein A-I. (a) Expression of haptoglobin was validated in 6 normal controls, 6 HbH, and 6 HbH-CS. The decrease expression of haptoglobin in HbH disease compared to normal control and HbH-CS compared to HbH disease was detected.
