Serum Irisin Predicts Posthepatectomy Complications in Patients with Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Figure 3

A low serum irisin level is associated with a high comprehensive complication index (CCI) score after hepatectomy in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients. All 117 HCC patients underwent curative hepatectomy in this cohort. (a) The Pearson rank correlation coefficient was computed to assess the correlation between preoperative serum irisin levels and postoperative CCI scores in HCC patients. (b) Postoperative CCI scores in HCC patients with serum irisin levels <2.62 μg/ml () or ≥2.62 μg/ml (). Data were presented as the . Differences between the groups were compared by Student’s -test.
