Study design overview. Midgut samples were collected at time points from mosquitoes that were sugar-fed, blood-fed, and P. falciparum-infected blood-fed. As a control, uninfected human blood and P. falciparum-infected blood were collected as well. Metabolites were determined by Metabolon, Inc.
